Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

THREE-QUARTER TO FULL TIME POSITION AVAILABLE

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our growing clinical team. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys primary care pediatrics, values collaboration, and wants to practice in a supportive environment.

New graduate PNPs are welcome to apply. A structured onboarding and clinical training period isbuilt into this role to ensure confidence, competence, and long-term success. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Training & Onboarding (“Residency”) Program

  • New graduate PNPs are required to complete a six-month structured “residency”period.

  • PNPs with limited clinical experience may be recommended to complete a shortened residency, based on prior training and demonstrated competency.

  • This training period includes:

    • Extended visit times to allow for learning, discussion, and thorough patient care

    • Protected weekly educational time, including case review, mentorship, and didactic learning

    • Gradual increase in patient volume as comfort and independence grows

  • The goal of this program is to support safe, confident, high-quality pediatric practice — not rushed productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care for patients from newborn through young adult

  • Perform well-child visits, sick visits, and follow-up care for acute and chronic conditions

  • Counsel families on development, nutrition, behavior, and preventative health

  • Manage common pediatric conditions including asthma, ADHD, allergies, and developmental concerns

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff

  • Document accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold evidence-based clinical standards

  • Support continuity of care through thoughtful follow-up and communication with families

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) certification (PNP-AC or PNP-PC)

  • Active California RN and NP licenses in good standing

  • DEA license and furnishing number (or ability to obtain)

  • Prior pediatric clinical experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based pediatric care
