Dear Garden Pediatrics Families,

 

We’re writing with exciting news we’ve hoped to share for some time:

 

Garden Pediatrics will begin accepting IEHP patients again as of April 1, 2026.

 

Many of you have been or were with us for years, and we want to take a moment to acknowledge that history and speak honestly about how we got here.

 

Garden Pediatrics had a long-standing relationship with IEHP, and we truly loved caring for our patients who carried this insurance. Over time, however, reimbursement rates did not improve - and in fact continued to decline - despite the growing complexity and administrative work required in pediatric care. When we asked to renegotiate, we were told that IEHP did not negotiate rates. At that point, we were left with no sustainable choice but to step away. As much as it pained us, we simply could not continue to supplement care financially or operate at a loss for the work we do.

 

After we left the network, IEHP re-engaged with us, and over the course of the past year we entered into extensive negotiations. We’re relieved and grateful to share that those conversations ultimately led to an agreement that allows us to once again care for IEHP families in a way that we hope is financially viable and aligned with the level of care we believe children deserve.

 

If you’ve found a new physician whom you trust and who meets your family’s needs, we’re genuinely happy for you - and there is absolutely no pressure to make a change. That said, if you’ve missed us as much as we’ve missed you, we’d love to welcome you back.

 

Because we are mindful about maintaining access and quality of care, we will be limiting the number of IEHP patients we can accept. Former Garden Pediatrics IEHP families will be given first priority.

 

To ensure your spot, PLEASE SIGN UP BY MARCH 25 so it can be effective April 1.

How to re-establish care with us:

 

• Request a PCP change via your iehp member portal.

• Alternatively, you can also call IEHP Member Services 1-800-440-4347 and request to be assigned to Garden Pediatrics with Dr. Cameo Carter as Medical Director.

Once this is done, you’ll be able to make an appointment.
